MEET THE TEAM

FAYE SHEN

Editor-in-Chief

Hello! I’m Faye, a penultimate year law student at the University of leeds. In undertaking the role of Editor-in-Chief, I am here to ensure that the issuing of the Lex Loci Publication 2017 is of a good standard for your indulgence. Accordingly, feel free to contact me with regards to ideas or contributions towards the betterment of the publication.

Online

Charlotte Ng

Vice Chief-Editor

Charlotte is a LLM student at the London School of Economics. She has a keen interest in finance, economics and writing. In her role as Vice Chief Editor, she hopes to increase the readership of Lex Loci Online with the introduction of Spyglass. In her spare time, Charlotte dabbles in fiction and has a great passion for travelling.

Kavisha Sharma

Online Managing Director

In my capacity as Online Managing Director, I hope to regularly promote commercial awareness in a way that readers can relate to and apply within their chosen context. When I'm not doing this, I'm pretty much just trying to survive my final year of law school.

Shiyi Lu

Deputy Editor (Online)

Shiyi is currently completing her LLM at the London School of Economics. While she is new to editorial work, she hopes that her enthusiasm would infuse new life in the online publication. In the year ahead, she will be crafting current legal news into light snippets for busy students, as well as collecting academic essays with refreshing legal perspectives.

Victoria Seow

Deputy Editor (Online)

Hello! As a first-year student, I'm very excited to work with everyone and make a contribution to this community. I hope to increase the online presence of Lex Loci and make it a more frequented and genuinely useful source of informative and thoughtful content.

Academic

Joel Wong

Managing Editor (Academic)

Joel is in his penultimate year reading Law at University College London (UCL). He is passionate about both law and journalism, and views Lex Loci as the best way to amalgamate these interests. As the academic Managing Editor, he hopes to uphold the intellectual rigour that readers have come to expect of the publication, whilst finding new ways to make certain aspects of the journal more palatable to potential readers with less technical knowledge.

Xinjie Ong

Deputy Editor (Academic)

Xin Jie is a second-year student whose interests in law include public law, jurisprudence and tort. Outside of law, he enjoys watching films, making music and aims to finish reading 30 books this year. He hopes that the 2017 edition of Lex Loci will pique the interests of law students and supplement their legal education by providing them with uniquely Singaporean insights!

Kenneth Chong

Deputy Editor (Academic)

Kenneth is a Year 1 law student currently studying at the University of Oxford. In his role as Deputy Editor, he hopes to work with writers to discuss their perspectives in interesting bits of the law, and share these through the Lex Loci publications. Outside of law, he enjoys watching movies and the occasional sports game.

Claudia Quek

Deputy Editor (Academic)

As the Deputy Editor for Academic articles, I hope to ensure that the written material submitted by the writers are factually accurate, up to date and contain interesting and informed analysis.

Chunshin Yau

Deputy Editor (Academic)

Chun Shin is a first-year undergraduate studying law at the London School of Economics. In his role as deputy academic editor, he hopes only to write something worth reading. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and the occasional film.

Features

Charlotte Ng

Managing Editor (Features)

In her role as Managing Editor for Features, she hopes to have a wider spread of features for this year's publication.

Safi Naseem

Deputy Editor (Features)

Safi believes that he is meant to do “great" things in life. Though, not quite in the Trump-esque sense. He enjoys the little things in life, especially if it comes in the form of an espresso. His personal goal in the capacity of the role to provide the readers with something new this year; an article that is easy to read, insightful and motivational.

Benedict Tse

Deputy Editor (Features)

Benedict is a law student who has just graduated and is currently doing his LLM specialising in commercial and corporate law. International and refugee law are also his secret crush, and he actively pursues this interest through mooting. Outside of University, basketball and travelling are his absolute pursuits.
